The new generation Yanmar 6-cylinder series of fast, lightweight powerboat engines have power-to-weight ratios well under 2kg/kW for some models. And with the addition of the larger SY series, our range of fast, reliable pleasure boat diesels can cater for boatbuilders and repowerers from the smallest sizes to 662kW.

In addition, Yanmar offers four performance models of the BY engines in the range from 100 to 191 kW. Users can enjoy similar power outputs, together with diesel reliability and fuel economy in a package the size and weight of a gasoline engine. Offering one brand of performance engines across the most popular size range adds a strong selling point to our powerboat engine lineup.
